About Tinnihush
Tinnihush was first developed in 2024 to support people living with tinnitus and the challenges that often come with it - stress, anxiety, sleep difficulties, problems with concentration, emotional strain, and even social withdrawal.
Our app provides a practical, at-home solution using audio hypnotherapy to help calm the experience of tinnitus and restore balance. Tinnitus often presents as ringing, buzzing, hissing, humming, whistling, or whooshing sounds. These are not external noises, but “phantom sounds” created when the brain compensates for reduced or altered input from the ear.
Tinnitus can be triggered by hearing loss, noise exposure, ear infections, earwax build-up, reactions to medication, or head and neck injuries. Once it begins, changes in the brain’s auditory pathways sustain the perception of sound. Stress, anxiety, and hypervigilance can then amplify it further, making the noise feel louder and harder to ignore.
